Franke A400 FAQs

The Franke A400 is a compact bean-to-cup machine for offices, hotels and self-service settings that need up to 150 cups a day. It brews from whole beans and handles chocolate and chai as well as coffee, so one machine covers the full drinks round without taking over the counter.
The A400 is the only machine in Vero’s Franke range with a swappable brewing unit: a 43mm unit for espresso drinks, a 50mm unit for higher volume, or a filter unit for brewed coffee. A business picks the configuration that matches how it actually serves coffee, rather than adapting its menu to the machine.
Does the Franke A400 make good milk-based drinks?
Very little day to day. The optional CleanMaster system runs an automated cleaning cycle, and descaling, preventative maintenance and parts are covered under Vero Coffee’s service plans. On-site staff empty the drip tray, grounds container and complete the easy cleaning cycle; Vero’s engineers handle the rest.
Yes. The A400 connects to Franke’s IoT Remote Digital Services, so Vero Coffee can run health checks, adjust recipes and update the drinks menu without sending an engineer. Faults are often flagged and dealt with before anyone in the office notices a problem.
Yes, the A400 is available through Vero Coffee’s rental packages as well as lease or outright purchase. Rental includes servicing and maintenance by Franke trained engineers in the monthly fee, paired with a coffee supply agreement, and leasing runs from 12 months up to 5 years, subject to approval.
