Due to recent expansion, we are looking for a business development manager to join our commercial sales team. Scope

Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you will help deliver the sales agenda within the Leinster and Dublin food service area, identifying and growing opportunities in existing and new clients to ensure continued growth. You will be required to work with all functions of the business to ensure a satisfactory operation including service, finance, technical, logistics and marketing teams.

 

Job Responsibilities

 

  • To develop the growth of foodservice sales within existing clients using initiative in educating and up selling to clients our entire product range.
  • Source new leads and look for opportunities to develop other areas of current client business.
  • Identify opportunities to grow business with new clients.
  • Negotiate and agree trading terms within customer & company guidelines.
  • Provide accurate and timely reports of progress and developing issues.
  • Build the strongest customer relationships in the industry by demonstrating competence, integrity, dependability and an excellent understanding of the customer’s business.
  • Monitor territory performance against targets for key marketing objectives, volume, distribution, credit control, promotional activity. Plan and execute action to correct negative variances.
  • Monitor competitor activity. Report to colleagues and take countermeasures as appropriate.
  • Conduct regular reviews of business performance with clients.
  • Responsible for lead generation strategy and implementation
  • Developing sales performance and maintaining a proactive and efficient journey plan.

 

Key Skills Required

  • 3 years’ work experience in the Food Service Industry, to include knowledge of food service products, equipment and services
  • Must be Dublin based.
  • Must have a proven track record of delivering targets.
  • Exceptional communication social, interpersonal & influencing skills
  • Highly motivated; you must be able to handle pressure and work at pace and must be brand orientated; be analytical and be able to influence
  • Must be computer literate and have excellent administrative skills
  • Enthusiastic and energetic individual who can radiate a passion for building our brand
  • Excellent influencing and interpersonal skills with the ability to relate equally well to senior management as well as own team and colleagues at the company
  • Computer skills developed to a commercial level in Excel, Word and PowerPoint or similar, with excellent administration and organisational skills
  • Ability to negotiate and understand sales methodologies and processes within competitive environments
  • Understands the financial goals and credit requirements of the business and has the ability to deliver; ▪
  • High energy, with an excellent work ethic with a can-do attitude and approach to work;

Scope and General Purpose:

 

Responsible for e-commerce, website and social media activities. Oversee development strategies, website requirements, and collaboration of sales, to fulfil e-commerce business strategies.

Develop sales databases and conduct telesales as requested.

Develop engaging, creative, innovative content for regularly scheduled posts, which enlighten audiences and promote brand-focused messages.

 

To convey a positive and professional image of the business to both customers and colleagues in a friendly and approachable manner. The general purpose of the role will be focused on generating business through digital and social marketing and supporting all sales roles within the Company.

 

You will work towards contributing to the achievement of the financial goals and growth of the Company.

 

Main Responsibilities:

 

  • Manage all online activity
  • Develop and implement ecommerce strategy to improve website performance
  • Work with marketing team to improve quality and traffic acquisition
  • Research market in order to discover new trends
  • Oversee all company social media accounts management
  • Develop engaging, creative, innovative content for regularly scheduled posts, which enlighten audiences and promote brand-focused messages
  • Analyse social media campaigns with tracking systems to gather visitor data and determine efficacy and areas for social media campaign improvement
  • Work with sales and technical teams to gather information for social media content and website updates
  • Develop content calendar
  • Analyse various data in order to deliver data driven strategies in order to deliver top performance and achieve KPI’S
  • Report on performance
  • To carry out any additional reasonable tasks requested by management
  • To be familiar with all the company’s products and services
  • To comply with statutory and legal requirements about fire, hygiene, health and safety, details of which are in your employee handbook.
  • To observe safety rules and procedures
  • Previous experience in WordPress, WooCommerce, Shopify or relevant backend management of websites
  • Customer support-Zendesk & DPD
  • Creative on Canva
  • Create e-zine on MailChimp
  • To follow the company’s training plan
  • Attend all training courses and meetings as required
  • Working with content marketing managing Google Business Updates, updating promotion offer / images / product images / updates
  • Other Ad Hoc tasks to assist with Sales calls and appointments
