4th Year Apprentice & Newly Qualified Technical Engineer

Reporting to: Technical Engineer Supervisor and Managing Director

Scope and General Purpose:
To convey a positive and professional image of the business to both customers and colleagues in a friendly and approachable manner. The general purpose of the role will be focused on installation, maintenance, and upkeep of machines.

Coffee machine engineers are essential to our company as we help companies across Ireland to maintain and resolve their coffee machine problems. Take this opportunity to join our great team here at Vero Coffee.

If you are a 4th year apprentice or recently qualified, we have a great career opportunity for you as we are looking to expand our team in Dublin. Both field and workshop based.

Full training will be provided on an ongoing basis.

Main Responsibilities:
• Assessing project requirements with your manager.
• Measuring the performance of mechanical components.
• Maintaining and modifying equipment to ensure that it is safe, reliable, and efficient.
• Undertaking relevant research for parts and updated software.
• Testing, evaluating, modifying, and re-testing products.
• Providing technical advice.
• Analyzing and interpreting data.
• Carry out a broad range of coffee equipment repair and preventative maintenance tasks from fault finding to diagnosis, making sure all coffee equipment is left in a good working order.
• All work carried out meets the correct equipment set up as per agreed specification providing consistent coffee quality to ensure first time fix and customer satisfaction.
• Work proactively with the service department by taking day to day instructions, keeping them updated.
• Comply with all on-site arrival procedures, by contacting a manager/supervisor site to introduce yourself and seek permission to commence work on equipment.
• Adhere to health and safety procedures, undertaking risk assessments to ensure that it is safe to work and bring any risks to the attention of the company management.
• Complete all necessary on-line job sheets, time sheets and supporting documentation as required, ensuring it is reviewed and completed prior to leaving premises, to validate client satisfaction.
• Keep in good working order all tools, equipment and vehicles supplied by the company, reporting any faulty, breakages or equipment failures to your line manager daily.
• Provide agreed spare parts stocks via handheld unit to ensure that parts are invoiced to the customer, deducted from stock, and replenished to maintain your vehicle stock inventory.
• And of course, how to make the perfect cup of coffee.

Each day is a different day within our industry.

During your time at Vero Coffee Company, on the job training is seen as important to us and getting the coffee machine engineer as knowledgeable as possible. In addition to manufacturing training some international travel may be required. Training on the new equipment is one of the most important things for our engineers, if they are skilled at using the equipment then they can undergo the maintenance on them. The Senior Engineering team carry out the training sessions as they know the coffee machines in detail and can pass on the information to the rest of the engineering team.

Core working hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday: 9am to 5pm. However, some out of office hours work is required for this role, including some weekends on-call on a rota basis.

Salary Circa €30k ,Company Van, Mobile phone, parking on site, uniform,training and all the coffee you can drink!
